Top 10 Moments in 2013

Not in any order of merit, this is my list of the top 10 moments of my life in 2013. What a year it has been! (I say this every year!)

#1 – 1st China training trip : In March 2013, Richard secured the first ever China training done in “bi-lingual” at Suzhou with Jensen. I did my first corporate training in Enneagram. The only regret i had is I cannot seem to find any pretty girl in Suzhou :p

#2 – New Niece in Sep 2013 : 8 years after Faith was born, Abigail is added to the family. Congrats to Charles and Gigi. A new child always bring so much joy and laughter to any family. May God bring her up healthy and happy throughout her childhood.

#3 – Appointed Brand Ambassador for 2 more brands: Through the consultancy work I am doing with i.Dental Surgeons; i am honoured to be appointed as their Brand Ambassador. Shortly after that in Dec, i was introduced to J Salon by Richard Gavriel to be their brand ambassadors too.

#4 – Judge for Miss Singapore Global 2013: From its inception in March, I was involved in training the contestants of Miss Singapore Global in building their Personal Branding through social media and mainstream media. I was also invited to be the sponsor and a judge. Thank you Vanessa Tan for the opportunity. Jody Liu won the Miss Personal Branding title and eventually won the 1st ever Miss Singapore Global 2013 crown in August. A month later, Jody beat 32 other international contestants to win the Miss Global International crown, the 4th person from Singapore to win an international crown. If you have what it takes to win the Miss Singapore 2014, submit your application to Miss Singapore Global 2013

Top 10 Moments in 2011 – Andrew Chow

It is the time of the year again to reflect and give thanks for the past 12 months. There are just too many happy moments and breakthroughs. I will list 10 of them in 2011 and they are not in any order of importance.

  1. Speak in Learnathon 2011. In Nov, This is an amazing event, spear-headed by Mr Patrick Liew, where all the planning and coordination were mostly done on Facebook. We had almost 250 volunteers, helpers and sponsors. The meeting is only merely for updating and not discussion. We raise $135,000 for Mercy Relief for South East Asia flood victims. i learn a lot from Patrick about being the rain-maker and from Hock Chye about Corporate governance. The dedication of the entire core team really touched me. We did everything from concept to implementation in 23 days!
  2. Participate in MTE Charity. This is definitely a first for me! I thought speaking to 1100 is a good challenge for charity. Now I am going to sing solo, unplugged in front of 300-400 VIPs and guests for a private event to raise funds for Club Rainbow and Dignity Kitchen. Though the event will be 16 Jan 2012, practice and planning started in Oct 2011.
  3. Sharing my life journey  in MTE. I never really thought about connecting the dots in my life together and forms a story until Steve Job passed away in 6 Oct. On 27 Oct, I shared my life in a MTE. Knowing the co-founder Roger Koh, Raymond Ng and Ben Aw have been a great experience, not forgetting more than 130 entrepreneursmeeting, in their 12th session.
  4. Overseas Training is always fun and exciting, this year I had 3 firsts!
    1. First time to Vietnam in Jan 2011
    2. First time to Dubai, in Jan 2011
    3. First time to India, in Oct 2011
  5. In most cases of the years past, I would be happy for one radio interview once or twice a year. This year I did 4 Radio Series with 938live in Singapore and BFM 89.9 in Malaysia
    1. 9-week Enneagram from Sep to Nov
    2. 4-week relationship from May to June
    3. 4-week DIY PR from Sep to Oct
    4. 4-week Enneagram from Nov to Dec (week 2 onwards, I arranged 3 other Enneagram experts to share airwave with me)
  6. Selected by Singapore Institute of Management (SIM). The interview was in March by 4 staff, followed by a 2-hour training for 8 staff, and finally a complimentary speaking slot in a seminar in 28 July. In Dec, I was appointed to train Module 2 of SME Leadership (Strategic Marketing)
  7. Official launch of Movie – “Friends with Benefits” on 21 Sep 2011. For the first time, I organise a business networking with dinner, wine and movie event with Sony Pictures and BeTheRightYou. Besides the movie, the highlight of the night was a talk by Mrs Singapore, Vanessa Tan on “Body Shape”, her team organised the ce breakers revolving around the same theme too.
  8. Birthday party cum networking. To combine birthday celebration and networking, I organised a Business Pleasure Mixer on 18 Feb 2011. The venue is Smartspace owned by Michael Zhan and Yvonne. They are one of the nicest people I have worked with. Collaboration with them is always a breeze!
  9. After more than 5 years since its inception, finally has a feature on Sunday Times. See Yeong and Samie were always so gracious in sharing their first encounter on how they met. They are happily married with a twins just in Dec.
  10. Elected into Ex-Co of Association of Professional Speakers – Asia (APSS)  as its PR Officer in Aug 2011. In the short 4 months, I have successfully pitched for more than 12 speakers on radio on their areas of expertise and also the upcoming APSS Book in Feb 2012

In-Page Analytics is a report available from the Content section of your Google Analytics reports. It enables you to visually analyze your website pages in order to assess how users interact with those pages, and helps you understand the answers to questions such as:

  • Is my page layout optimal for what I want users to accomplish on the page?
  • Are my users seeing the content I want them to see?
  • Are my users finding what they’re looking for on the page?
  • Are my calls to action motivating or visible enough?
  • Which links are users clicking?

Beginning with your site’s homepage, you see which links users clicked. You can navigate In-Page Analytics the way you navigate your site: click any link on your homepage, and once the new page is loaded, the corresponding data are shown for that page.

Additional benefits of this report include:

  • Support for image maps, so you can create a separate tag for each linkable part within a single image
  • Support for advanced segments
  • Availability of page-level information
  • Complete list of incoming and outgoing links

There’s no installation involved. You access the report from the list in the Content section, or by opening the Content Overview report, then clicking the In-Page Analytics link. Your homepage displays automatically.

Here are the main components of the report:

BUBBLES: These indicate the links users clicked, with the numbers inside representing the percentage of clicks on the links. The solid line border indicates that the link leads to the destination page. The dotted-line border* indicates that more than one link leads to the same destination page (for example, if you have links to your home page in both the header and the footer). When you hover over any of the bubbles that contain a numerical figure, the percentage of clicks and any goal values (values you assigned to your goal) are displayed.

* Note: Links indicated by a dotted-line bubble that lead to the same destination URL all appear to have the same data. You can, however, hover over links and get additional information. This is especially useful when viewing multiple segments, as the detail panels show percentages for all segments right next to each other for easy comparison.

CONTENT DETAILS: This section, as well as Inbound Sources and Outbound Destinations, provides more insight into specific metrics. As with other reports, you can apply advanced segments. Simply use the Advanced Segments menu at the top of the report.

Beulah has its 5th Christmas Party @ Espressoul Cafe

Gone are the days where we organise party for 80 singles. These days with so many organisers out there, singles have abundant choices for parties to go to. This year I intend to organise one for only 30 pax to facilitate quality interaction instead of just pure numbers.

Espressoul Cafe was the obvious choice as it is centrally located just opposite Parliament House along North Bridge Road (

On 4 Dec, 2 days before I went on a cruise on Legend of the Seas for a series of singles workshop, Beulah has its 5th Christmas party. www.beulah,sg is a portal I set up for singles who are Christian and only wish to connect with like minded believers for long term meaningful relationship

I was blessed to have my good friend Michele Tee and her future hubby -Alvy Lau to come and lead 2 wonderful ice breakers games. We had 1 organisers, 2 leaders and 29 party goers. As usual we only have 9 guys and 20 ladies. I do not know if I can ever solve this problem of gender imbalance even after doing this for 5 years.

One heartening story I can take away from this Christmas event is that we started at 5.30pm, ended officially at 8.15pm. I left soon after, and was told by Michele many still stay around till 9.20pm to chat and exchange contact. This is unlike the usual scenario where people dash out the minute it’s officially over. I glad doing a smaller events reap bigger rewards.

Anyway, the food list is as follows

(Meat Carving Station)

1)Whole Roasted Turkey

2)Honey Baked Ham (with cranberry, pineapple and red wine sauce)

(SALAD STATION) – Caesar Salad with condiments(Romaine Lettuce) (Croutons, Eggs, Parmesan Cheese, Chicken Breast Slices)
